Undead
was an independent film released in 2003,
because
of this, its presence in books was some what
limited. The film itself, while touring the
film festivals
and
indie cinema circuit, never made it into the mainstream
cinema. Therefore
information about this movie at the
current stage appears to be in journals,
newspaper articles,
and of course the ever
abundant (if not always accurate)
internet. My research
admittedly was mainly
dependent on the internet, this was due to lack
of other resources. As I said
before this movie is an
independent film, it received such wide coverage over
the internet more likely
due to it’s genre.
Good Zombie films of the
past,
such as those by Romero,
Raimi and Jackson,
have received cult status. Thus setting the bar,
and the pattern all Zombie movies since have
followed.
(see How does Undead fit
into the Zombie Genre)
