ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Pieta O'Shaughnessy has worked in the following areas of radio
broadcasting over a period of 20 years, after teaching at both
primary and secondary level:
- Presentation of breakfast, morning, drive-time, and
talk-back programs for commercial and community radio
stations.
- Copy-writing and commercial production for commercial
radio.
- Production of 50 one-hour documentary programs, recorded
in schools, institutions and remand centres, during the
International Year of the Child.
- Management of two campus-based public broadcasting
stations in WA.
- Founder-manager of WEAR-FM, England's first campus-based
broadcaster which was winner of the Sony Award for UK
Station of the Year 1992 and subject of a UNESCO study
into the impact of media on the community.
- Manager, ABC Regional Radio Victoria.
- Currently producer/presenter of "Good Company",
Radio 6NR, Curtin University of Technology, Bentley WA.
