This Pub Talk looks at Lakoff and Johnson's version of the 'embodied mind' and its consequences for philosophy and our commonsense world. In doing so the talk places their recent book Philosophy in the Flesh (1999) in the context of the 'corporeal turn' in contemporary thought and challenges the big claims they make about Western Philosophy.
