The conference theme, "Talk and the Moral Order" is meant to be inclusive of papers in ethnomethodology, conversational analysis and membership categorisation analysis that address some aspect of the idea of a moral order, or that provide analyses of materials where moral work is seen to be done. Papers that address the theme of "talk and the moral order" using materials from institutional or other conversational settings will be welcome.

Venue: Couran Cove Island Resort, South Stradbroke Island, Gold Coast, Queensland. One of Queensland's premier island resorts, Couran Cove is one hour south of Brisbane International Airport.

Abstracts to be submitted by 4th March 2002
Early Bird Registrations accepted up until 3rd May 2002

This conference will be held prior to the ISA XVth World Congress of Sociology in Brisbane 7th-13th July 2002. It provides researchers with an interest in ethnomethodology, conversation analysis and membership categorisation with the opportunity to present material and mix in an informal environment prior to the ISA Conference.

This conference is supported by RC25 of the ISA, the Australian Institute of EM/CA and the School of Education at the University of Queensland.
