Kathy Landvogt

Kathy Landvogt (BSW, Grad Dip Ed, Grad Dip in Community Development) is an adult educator and community practitioner interested in the use of applied CA to study feminist practice. Her current research includes explorations of troubles talk, advice sequences, narratives, and institutional talk, in a group of mothers of children with a disability.

She is particularly concerned with the tasks of understanding the operations of broader social phenomena such as difference, identity, and agency by studying them at the micro level. Kathy has several publications in the area of social work practice, adult education, and CA. Her PhD was awarded in 2004, for the thesis Transforming Talk in Community-based Feminist Groupwork. She works in social work practice in Melbourne.
