Graduates of Multimedia are suited for careers in all aspects of the existing multimedia and information technology industry, as well as in other industries that are coming to incorporate multimedia content, production methods, and modes of delivery.
As more and more information comes to be conceived, created, distributed, and consumed in multimedia form, there will be increasing opportunities for people who can combine a solid technical understanding of the new media with developed creative and content development skills. It is this combination of hands-on technical know-how, multimedia-savvy creativity, and a critical understanding of new media genres and culture that the Bachelor of Multimedia emphasizes.
The Multimedia program has a dedicated, cross-plarform multimedia lab with high-end Macintosh OS and Windows computers running the latest development software. You will have access to a server for data backup and a full suite of peripherals: CD/DVD-Rom burners, video/audio digitizing, flatbed and slide scanners, digital still/video cameras and colour printer.
