Dr Mick Broderick

Dr Mick Broderick is Senior Lecturer in Media Analysis at Murdoch University. Prior to this appointment he lectured at a number of institutions including the University of Sydney, University of Woolongong, The Australian Film Television and Radio School and La Trobe University.

In addition to his teaching work, he is also an active researcher, writer, producer and director, with a number of documentaries currently in pre-production.

In addition, Dr Broderick is a prolific writer having written a number of books, book chapters, refereed journal articles, review articles and conference papers.

For 10 years he worked for the Australian Film Commission in Sydney within the Industry & Cultural Development Branch, coordinating AFC publications as well as conducting project-specific PR and corporate identity duties. He was the academic coordinator for the 2004 Australian International Documentary Conference, a member of ScreenWest's Screen Culture advisory panel and WA screen culture commissioning editor for Realtime.
