Staff - Paul Roberts

Paul Roberts has been working as a Film Director, Producer, Writer and Research Consultant since 1984. He has undertaken a number of film projects, some of which have received ABC and SBS television pre-sales in addition to a number of awards and FTI nominations.

Paul recently worked as producer, director and writer with Des Kootji Raymond on a six-part documentary series, Artists Up Front. The documentary was screened on SBS and won the Channel Nine Award for Best Documentary, WAM Award for Best Original Music, SPAA Award for Most Promising Producer and Dome Award for Excellence in Sound. In the same year the team wrote, produced and directed Buffalo Legends, which won them the Human Rights Commission Media Award and Best Documentary (12 th WA Screen Awards, 1998)

Other award-winning work includes An African Christmas (co-producer), Land of the Little Kings (writer, producer), and How the West Was Lost (associate producer, researcher, writer).

In addition to his film projects, Paul has worked as Lecturer and Tutor at Edith Cowan, UWA and Murdoch University.
