Fremantle (referred to by locals as “Freo”) is a busy port and small cosmopolitan town south of the city of Perth (Perth is the capital city of the State of Western Australia). One of Western Australia’s key international centres of tourism, Fremantle is strongly multicultural and heritage and arts orientated. Most of the conference’s art and film activities will be located in Fremantle. Murdoch and Curtin universities, where the conference will be held, are easily accessible by public transport from Fremantle.

We suggest:
i) The Esplanade Hotel, located right in the centre of Fremantle, steps away from everything, including public transport;
ii) Tradewinds Hotel, located in East Fremantle, metres away from the Swan River, and a pleasant 20 min walk (or 5 min bus ride) to central Fremantle.
